2019 Tax campaign : Income tax return

déclaration des revenus
Since January 1st, 2019, the income tax in France is deducted at source.
However, it is required to declare the incomes you earned in 2018.
This will enable the tax authorities to readjust the amount of your income tax.

The 2019 schedule for reporting your income

Deadlines for reporting your income vary depending on whether you send your tax return by post or online, and depending on your residence area.

Deadline for paper tax returns: Thursday May 16th, 2019, at midnight (date as per postmark)
Deadline for online tax returns, if you live in Isère (Grenoble) or Drôme (Valence): Tuesday May 28th, 2019, at midnight
Deadline for online tax returns, if you live in Savoie (Chambéry) or Haute-Savoie (Annecy): Tuesday June 4th, 2019, at midnight

You will also find this information on the websites impots.gouv.fr and economie.gouv.fr.

New in 2019

It is now possible for new declarants recently arrived in France to report their income online.
You will need to get a French tax number to create your personal account on impots.gouv.fr and then report your income online.
