Further to the recent announcements of the French Prime Minister, the restrictive measures that have been set up to limit the spread of the Covid-19 are being maintained.
The services dedicated to students, PhD students and researchers of the Université Grenoble Alpes (UGA) continue to adapt to the situation in order to maintain continuity of service despite the ongoing restrictions.

Curfew
Traveling around within metropolitan France is authorized during the day, but
everyone must be at home between 6 pm and 6 am. Leaving home during the curfew is possible only for a limited number of reasons.
Valid resons for leaving home during the curfewThe list of valid reasons for leaving home during the curfew shows on the ‘Exemption certificate during curfew hours’ that can be downloaded from
the Ministry of the Interior website.
You can find among the valid reasons : going out for medical needs or emergencies, or long distance traveling (by train, plane or bus).
Rules for leaving home during curfewWhen leaving home during the curfew hours, you must always have with you :
- The exemption certificate during curfew hours completed and dated (and signed if on paper)
- Your ID, passport or residence permit
- Any complementary document to justify of your outing.
You can get the exemption certificate during curfew hours :If you are unable to print or get the digital version, it can be handwritten, following the downloadable sample version.
ImportantAny violation of these rules will be penalised by a fine of €135 (which may be increased up to €3750 in the event of a repeat offence).

In Grenoble The Welcome center ISSO is closed to the public until further notice.
The building remains accessible only to those who have an appointment with the prefecture (more information below).
But the service remains available by email.

The service also continues to offer its assistance for residence permits procedures remotely.

The on-campus Isère Préfecture office in St-Martin-d’Hères remains open
upon appointment only.
Bringing an additional document to your dossier (after an appointment) is possible by sending it by email to the International Students & Scholars Office ISSO (
isso@univ-grenoble-alpes.fr) along with a copy of your récépissé. The International Students & Scholars Office – ISSO will then pass them on to the Isère prefecture for you.
Good to know If you want to have your application dossier checked before your appointment at the on-campus prefecture office, ISSO can check it online for you!

Youth health center - Valence
The Youth health center remains open.However, all the group activities are suspended, and the stress management workshops will be offered individually over 30 minutes sessions.

the psychologists of the Point relais oxygène are maintained, and will be either on site or by phone.

University libraries (BU) are open to all, upon appointment.
Collections, computer equipment, and study rooms are available for a maximum of 50% of their usual reception capacity.
