What is going to change from September 2018.

Capture assur maladie.JPG
As part of the French law ‘Orientation et Réussite des Etudiants’ of 8 March 2018, student health insurance in France is currently undergoing reform.

The major changes are:
  • Student social security contributions have been abolished (€217 for the academic year 2017-2018).
  • Gradual abolition of the student social security regime by student mutual insurance providers (LMDE and SMERRA).

The health insurance section of our website has been updated, taking into account changes planned by this new law.
However, the information provided may still be subject to change and is likely to be added to before Autumn 2018.

We recommend you check it regularly to ensure you have
the most up-to-date information.
