Several promising research topics for the strategic partnership between UGA and McMaster University will be discussed during this workshop: materials science, mathematics, chemistry, environmental studies, neurosciences, computer science, digital humanities and sciences of the universe.
Participants and organizers will exchange about their existing and emerging research activities, opportunities to initiate new collaborations, and mechanisms that will enable new student and researcher exchanges.
Students, laboratory staff and researchers at UGA are invited to participate in the 8 thematic sessions in situ, in Hamilton on the McMaster campus or from Grenoble, where the sessions will be broadcast at the Maison de la création et de l'innovation (MACI).
McMaster University and Université Grenoble Alpes have a long history of scientific cooperation. Two scientific meetings have already been organized in the past, one in McMaster in February 2018, the other in Grenoble in July 2019. They targeted three areas of historical research collaboration: materials science, mathematics and chemistry.
A framework agreement was signed in 2019 between UGA and McMaster University, one of the 6 strategic partners of the UGA.
