UGA internships

To intern in a laboratory or an administrative department at the Université Grenoble Alpes (UGA), you must be enrolled in a higher education institution. Here are the steps to follow:

Find an internship

Sign an internship agreement

Any internship at the UGA requires a contract, which is provided by the host organization. The host organization, intern, and home university must sign the contract before the start of the internship.

Students doing an internship as part of the Erasmus+ program will have to obtain the following documents from their home university in addition to the UGA internship agreement:
  • A learning Agreement for Traineeship Mobilities
  • At the end of the internship, a certificate of completion of the internship specific to Erasmus+
Students may qualify for an Erasmus+ grant paid by their home institution, and validate ECTS credits. Students can contact their home university for more information.

Internship duration

Since an internship in France is subject to French legislation, the intern can benefit from a stipend if the duration of the internship is more than 308 hours. The intern may also benefit from certain labour rights (time off, reimbursement of public transport, etc.).
