Iran: scholarship for short scientific stays in France

The French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs offers scholarships for short scientific stays intended for young researchers (Ph.D. students or Ph.D. holders) as well as teacher-researchers working on topics related to environmental preservation and medical research.

This scholarship program allows young researchers or teacher-researchers, Iranian nationals enrolled or affiliated with an Iranian university, to stay for one to four months at a French higher education institution or research laboratory in 2024. Two priority research areas are eligible in 2024: sustainable development and health.

Application timeline:

  • Until March 16, 2024: deadline for submitting applications to candidatures.france@diplomatie.gouv.fr
  • Starting from July 1, 2024: notification of results and commencement of visa procedures;
  • Starting from September 2024: beginning of the scientific stay.
