European Student Assembly : 3rd edition in Strasbourg

Initiative coordinated by Université Grenoble Alpes, the third edition of the European Student Assembly is taking place at the European Parliament in Strasbourg from the 10th to the 12th of April 2024. This year, 251 students of 59 nationalities from 170 universities and 41 European University Alliances will discuss 11 essential themes of the EU and propose their resolutions for the European Commission during the final session of the event.

ESA is an initiative made by students, and for students, that aims to increase European cooperation among Higher Education institutions from alliances and encourage an active voice on the issues that impact most students. The students have been selected for their motivation and competences. The Committee has privileged a diversity of profiles in terms of gender equality, level and field of studies.

Each participant has expressed their preference for one of the 11 discussion panels and has taken part in preparatory online sessions which allowed them to learn the essential skills to participate actively in the Assembly. At the end of the event, the resolutions outlined for each panel will be presented to the European Parliament, expressing the voice of European students on these key themes of the EU. The debating topics of the panels are listed below.

At the end of the Assembly, on Friday 12th of April at 4.30 p.m. an Alumni festive event for former and current ESA participants will take place, aiming at building the bridge for a continuous networking activity and introducing them to the EUC Voices Alumni Network.
