Marie Bochet, a first-year Bachelor’s Degree Economics and management student at the Faculty of Economics of Pierre-Mendès-France University in Grenoble, added four golds to the tally of the French women’s downhill skiing team by finishing first in the women’s downhill standing, women’s giant slalom standing, women’s super combined standing, and women’s Super-G standing events.
Marie Bochet is one of the 22 elite athletes who are currently studying at the Université de Grenoble and who represented France at the Sochi Games.

Enrolled since September 2013 as a first-year Bachelor’s Degree student at the Faculty of Economics of Pierre-Mendès-France University in Grenoble, Marie Bochet is pursuing her studies on a distance learning basis. Thanks to this special program provided by the UPMF for students such as elite athletes, disabled people and salaried workers who are able to prove that they cannot attend classes on-site, and some special arrangements made by her faculty, Marie Bochet is able to combine her studies with a sporting career.
