It is recommended candidates apply for financial aid at least one year before enrolment at a French institution.

Campus Scholarships

Campus Scholarships (Campus France) lists all of the funding provided by national authorities (French and foreign), regional authorities, companies, foundations and higher education institutions. Filter your search by nationality, field and level of studies to find the assistance that corresponds to your profile.

The most common available scholarships include:

Scholarships from the Excellence Initiative Idex The Scholarship IDEX is intended for following students:
  • Students currently enrolled in a university outside France, or who have obtained their last degree in a foreign university,
or
  • Who have obtained their baccalaureate in a foreign university.
The selection is based on high academic potential. The scholarship may be allocated to students entering a first or second year of a Master’s degree, or its equivalent in the engineering degree (2A or 3A).
Eiffel excellence scholarships (graduate degrees) From the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development.
Eiffel excellence scholarships (PhD degrees) From the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development.
Funding from the Université Franco-Italienne (UFI) As part of the Vinci program's call for proposals for students enrolled in binational programs at the master's or doctoral level.
Graduate excellence scholarships from PERSYVAL-Lab The Université Grenoble Alpes, through its excellence centre (LabEx) PERSYVAL-Lab, is launching a scholarship to attract exceptional candidates in the second year of a master's degree program related to PERSYVAL-Lab disciplines (Computer Science, Control, Mathematics, or Signal Processing).
GRAL Master 2 Scholarships In the framework of the Chemistry Biology Health (CBH) Graduate School of Université Grenoble Alpes, the Grenoble Alliance for Integrated Structural and Cell Biology (GRAL) funds MSc (Master 2) research scholarships.
The Graduate School@Université Grenoble Alpes The Graduate School@UGA finances incoming scholarships for foreign students studying at Université Grenoble Alpes in one of its 15 thematic pograms. The scholarship is granted for M1 and M2 (no scholarship possible if the student registers only in M2).
Chemistry Biology Health graduate school CBH Graduate School funds one-year mobility scholarships for foreign students who are pursuing a master’s degree at the Université Grenoble Alpes (first or second year, M1/M2).
After admission to the Master’s program, scholarships are awarded to the top candidates, selected by the Master’s coordinator.
MIAI scholarships Multidisciplinary Institute in Artificial intelligence Its goal is to attract exceptional candidates, either in the second year (M2) of one of University Grenoble Alpes Master's programs or in European Master in AI Unite!
Erasmus+ scholarships Erasmus program offers grants for international mobility university exchanges. Students must apply through their home university.
Erasmus Mundus scholarships Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters are prestigious international masters, jointly designed and delivered by at least 3 institutions from at least 3 different countries.
Typically, they include periods of study, research, traineeship, thesis preparation and defence.
France Excellence Europa The program allows students from 26 European Union countries to obtain a scholarship to come and study at the Master's level in a French higher education institution.
