From Paris
The two airports in Paris are Paris-Charles de Gaulle (CDG), in the north-east of the city, and Paris-Orly, in the south.

Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games - Impact on travel
Over the period of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, from July 26 to September 8, 2024, impacts are expected on travel in the Ile-de-France region, as well as in Paris airports.

From Paris airports to "Paris – Gare de Lyon" railway station
To take a TGV (high-speed train) to Grenoble or Valence, you will have to make your way to this station first.
To do this, you have three options: by bus, by RER (Paris’s suburban railway) or by taxi.
By bus
From Paris CDG airport, take a Roissybus.

From Orly airport, take an Orlybus shuttle bus.

The Roissybus and Orlybus lines take you to the centre of Paris. You then need to take the metro or the RER to the "Paris - Gare de Lyon" station.
By RER
From Paris CDG airport, take RER line B to Châtelet-Les Halles station, and change there to line A.
From Orly airport, take the Orlyval shuttle, then RER line B to Châtelet-Les Halles station, and change there to line A.

By taxi
In France, taxi fares are regulated but quite expensive.
Official taxis have an illuminated sign on the roof.
Fares to "Paris – Gare de Lyon" railway station: about €55 from Paris CDG and €40 from Paris-Orly.
From "Paris - Gare de Lyon" railway station to Grenoble or Valence
The journey times from "Paris - Gare de Lyon" station by TGV (high-speed train) are 3 hours to Grenoble and 2.5 hours to Valence.
It is best to book tickets in advance, to benefit from lower fares.

Lyon’s airport is called Lyon-St Exupéry.

From Lyon-St Exupéry to Grenoble or Valence
To get to Grenoble or Valence from Lyon-St Exupéry airport, you have two options: bus or train.
By bus
The buses of the companies Flixbus and BlaBlaCarBus go to Grenoble and Valence.

By train
You can travel by train to Grenoble or Valence from any of these 3 stations:
- Lyon-St Exupéry (at the airport),
- Lyon-Part-Dieu (Lyon city center),

From Geneva
From Geneva, you can get to Grenoble or Valence by bus or by train.
