International researchers: the Université Grenoble Alpes helps you settle in
International PhD students, post-doctoral students, and researchers
So that we can support you to the best of our ability as you prepare to come to the Université Grenoble Alpes, we invite you to register with the international researcher support database managed by the International Students & Scholars Office (ISSO) as part of its affiliation with the Euraxess European network. Registration is free, and can be done several weeks before you arrive.Once your registration has been approved, you will be able to access support in a number of areas including:
- A platform putting you in touch with owners renting furnished properties in the Grenoble area
- Offers of short-stay accommodation at negotiated rates (private residences, aparthotels)
- Personalized assistance with your administrative formalities: health insurance, banking, insurance, residence permits, etc.
- Appropriate offers of insurance from a partner provider in the Euraxess network
- Reductions for French language courses from our partners: the CUEF (20% reduction) and the Alliance française in Grenoble (10% réduction).

- Employed (work contract) by another institution (like CEA, CNRS, etc.) Unfortunately, your situation does not allow you to register with ISSO’s international researcher support database.
