From finding an apartment to handing over the keys, including signing the lease and inventory of fixtures... Every month, the Welcome Center - UGA hosts free information and consumer advocacy sessions on housing issues.
This one-stop, local service for students, PhD students and researchers provides information on their housing rights and obligations.
It is the result of collaboration between iCampus - Welcome Center UGA, the International Students & Scholars Office (ISSO) UGA, ADIL 38 (Agence Départementale pour l'Information sur le Logement), CROUS Grenoble Alpes and CDAD de l'Isère (Conseil Départemental d'Accès au Droit).
The ADIL 38 on-campus sessions offer the following services
• Free legal information
• Free help with procedures
The information provided covers a range of housing issues
• Social home ownership
• Regulations
• Application for social housing
• Home improvement
• Rental intermediation
• Decency of housing
• Overcoming inadequate housing
• The search for accommodation
Given the large number of international visitors to the Welcome Center- UGA, ADIL 38 will do everything in its power to ensure that the lawyers present can speak English.
