How do you picture other cultures ? Which stereotypes do other cultures assign to yours ? How to deconstruct them ? UGA offers an intercultural workshop to exchange on this topic.
When asking people from all around the world about the characteristics of another nation, we often come across stereotyped representations of other cultures. If they vary according to customs and values, stereotypes are a cultural phenomenon in all countries and are perpetuated from generation to generation by the media, education, history and jokes.
By participating in this workshop on stereotypes, we offer you to play with this notion. Come deconstruct your preconceived ideas about other cultures and open your eyes to the world!
The workshop is open to all UGA students and staff. Places are limited, to participate please register.
