Treasure hunt and language café: discovering Europe’s languages

Set off on an adventure in Grenoble’s Jardin de Ville with a unique treasure hunt, then continue the journey with an international aperitif. To mark European Heritage Days and the European Day of Languages, Europe Direct Isère Savoie, the City of Grenoble and UGA invite you to celebrate Europe’s cultural and linguistic richness. A free and festive event on the theme "United in diversity"!
On 30 September 2025, Grenoble becomes the playground for all those curious about European languages and cultures. Starting at 6:00 PM, a treasure hunt will lead you through the Jardin de Ville, step by step, to discover the languages and cultures that bring Europe to life every day. It will also be a fun way to discover the City of Grenoble’s partners. Get ready to solve riddles and take on challenges to uncover the hidden treasure!

At 7:00 PM head to the Maison Internationale Grenoble for a friendly, international aperitif. This “language café” is the perfect opportunity to meet students, residents, and city partners, exchange in different languages, and taste specialties from here and abroad.

Organized by Europe Direct Isère Savoie in partnership with the City of Grenoble and Université Grenoble Alpes, the event is part of the celebration of the European Heritage Days and the European Day of Languages.
