The Université Grenoble Alpes (UGA) recently welcomed a delegation from the Centre National de Télé-enseignement de Madagascar (CNTEMAD). The agreement signed paves the way for cooperation in the field of digital and distance education.

A shared ambition: building a leading virtual university

Beyond the symbolism, this agreement marks a major step in supporting CNTEMAD’s transformation: creating a high-performing virtual university capable of standing out on the international stage. To achieve this, several areas of collaboration have been defined:
- digitalization and enhancement of training content;
- exchange of expertise in instructional design and distance learning;
- training CNTEMAD staff in innovative approaches;
- seeking funding from international organizations.

A forward-looking cooperation

The meeting brought together several academic and institutional figures. On the Malagasy side, participants included Mr. Lalatiana Christian ANDRIAMIRADO, National Director of CNTEMAD.
UGA was represented by Caroline BERTONECHE, Vice President for International Relations; Henri BENOIT, Vice President for Initial Training and President of the FIED (Fédération inter-universitaire d’enseignement à distance); David DECHENAUD, Vice President for Education; and Marc ODDON, Vice President for Lifelong Learning and Apprenticeship.

Through this partnership, UGA and CNTEMAD strengthen their ties and reaffirm their commitment to educational innovation and international openness. This collaboration opens new horizons for access to quality, inclusive education tailored to the digital challenges.
