A delegation of researchers from Swansea University, a strategic partner of Université Grenoble Alpes, is welcomed on Wednesday 6th December at the UGA's Risk Institute.
The delegation of researchers from Swansea University's Centre of Digital Arts and Humanities is hosted by the Risk Institute's "Innovations for Resilience" cluster.
They will open the "Citizen data and risks/vulnerabilities management" seminar series by presenting their different research works in the area of new communication technologies for risk and vulnerability reduction. They will talk about citizen data, social networks, crisis management and risk governance.
Programme: How do new technologies in citizens' hand challenge risk and vulnerability management?
Three topics will be addressed:
1. Conceptualizing citizen data

Dr Yan Wu, Associate Professor in Media and Communications studies
2. Citizen data and communication for development in Africa
Dr Chedza Simon, Lecturer in media and public relations
Prof Krijn Peters, Professor in politics, philosophy, and international relations
3. Citizen data and interactions co-designed with/for emergent users.
