MITACS and the UGA fund research internships in Canada

International
Scientific cooperation with Canada is a strategic priority for the newly integrated UGA. In this context a five-year framework agreement was signed with the Canadian agency Mitacs in July 2019, with a view to developing this cooperation, in particular by funding research periods for undergraduate, graduate and postdoc students.

What is Mitacs?

Mitacs is a Canadian not-for-profit organization that has supported research and training programs in Canada for 20 years, working with 70 Canadian universities, 6,000 companies, and the government.

What opportunities are there? And who for?

Three mobility programs are going to be set up by the UGA and Mitacs with joint funding from the “Initiative of Excellence” (IDEX).

These programs concern all of the faculties, institutes and departments of the UGA.

For students in their 3rd year of a Bachelor’s Degree (“licence”) or on a first-year Master’s Degree program
