How to apply for a duplicate following a theft or loss, change the address or your personal details on your residence permit, or apply for a travel document for your children (DCEM).

Application must be submitted via the national platform of the Directorate-General for Foreign Nationals in France ("Direction Générale des Étrangers en France")

Travel document for foreign minors (DCEM)

This document allows your children to cross the borders with you, inside and outside the Schengen Area. Its duration will be the same as your current residence permit, with a maximum of 5 years.
DCEM applications are done online, via the national platform of the Directorate-General for Foreign Nationals in France ("Direction Générale des Étrangers en France").
To prepare your application, you can use the following list provided by the International Students & Scholars Office (ISSO) of UGA:

When the DCEM is available, you or your spouse will have to pick it up at the Préfecture, along with the children who will receive the DCEM.

Bring with you:
  • The passports of your children
  • The birth certificates of your children
  • If it is a renewal, the current DCEM
  • Your passport
  • Your residence permit
  • A proof of address dated less than 3 months in the name of the parent present.
