A delegation from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) visits UGA

On December 19th, 2023, the first strategic committee meeting of the partnership between Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and Université Grenoble Alpes (UGA) took place. On this occasion, seven representatives from KIT* were welcomed in Grenoble for two days.
This visit was organized in two parts:

1. On Monday December 18th, around thirty researchers from UGA, KIT and the Centre d’Energie Atomique (CEA) joined working groups on the following topics:
- Batteries
- Energy system design
- Hydrogen/electrochemical technologies
- Artificial intelligence
For each theme, they shared and discussed of current cooperation and next steps.

2. On Tuesday December 19th, the first KIT-UGA strategic meeting was held in presence of the working groups coordinators. They presented and discussed the conclusions of the meetings organized the day before. For each theme, the next steps of the collaboration have been defined.

At the end of the meeting, Karine Samuel, Vice-President for International Affairs at UGA, Thomas Hirth, Vice-President for International Affairs at KIT, and Eirini Sarigiannidou, Vice-President for International Affairs at Grenoble INP – UGA, Phelma and Klaus Rümmele, Head of International Affairs Business Unit at KIT, reaffirmed their full support for this strategic partnership. They also expressed their desire to see numerous collaborations strengthened in 2024.
