UGA is relaying the TESI initiative, which aims to support the continuation of educational opportunities for students in Gaza who have been deprived of schooling, through an online course project.
The core activity of the TESI initiative is to bring together teachers from all disciplines to provide online education to students in Gaza.
Since April 2024, they have brought together more than 3,500 volunteer professors, and around 500 online courses have been delivered. They are still actively seeking instructors, particularly in computer science, physics, medicine, pharmacy, and more — as well as master’s students or PhD candidates to assist as teaching assistants.
The TESI initiative also offers, in certain cases, the opportunity for students in Gaza to complete part of their university education remotely as guest students for a limited period, without financial cost to them or their respective universities.
