McMaster University Dean of Science visited UGA

Maureen MacDonald, Dean of the Faculty of Science at McMaster University, visited UGA on July 7, 2023, accompanied by Soren Harbel, McMaster's representative in Europe, and Stuart Phillips, Professor of Kinesiology.
During a working session chaired by Karine Samuel, Vice-President for International Affairs at UGA, Hervé Courtois, Vice-President for Research at UGA, highlighted Labex UGA as a relevant tool for strengthening the partnership between the two universities. Prospects for cooperation have been identified with Grenoble Neurosciences Institut (GIN) and the "Recherche Translationnelle et Innovation en Médecine et Complexité" (TIMC-IMAG) laboratory.
Follow-up actions and new cooperation themes were also defined during a working session with representatives from the UGA Chemistry and Biology Faculty.

A visit was organized to the Jardin du Lautaret, in the company of Pascale Huyghe, Deputy Director of the UGA Faculty of Science, to highlight the potential for scientific cooperation in the field of global change, and the possibilities for Canadian students to participate in UGA summer schools using this infrastructure.

McMaster University is a strategic partner of the UGA.
