A delegation from McMaster University visits UGA

From May 24 to 26, 2023, four representatives from McMaster University - a strategic partner of Université Grenoble Alpes - came to Grenoble to develop scientific collaborations.
During their visit, the members of the delegation had the opportunity to exchange views with representatives from the Faculty of Science and Grenoble INP-UGA. Discussions focused on a cooperation project between UGA, McMaster University, Technical University of Munich (TUM), and Polytechnic University of Milan (Polimi) in the nuclear field.

They were also invited to discover the Institut Laue-Langevin (ILL), the Grenoble INP - UGA School of Engineering in Physics, Electronics and Materials Science (PHELMA) and the Laboratoire de Physique Subatomique et de Cosmologie (LPSC). They also met with members of the Laboratoire d'Informatique de Grenoble (LIG) to discuss the creation of a double-degree in computer science.

The McMaster University delegation included :
  •  Heather Sheardown, Dean of the School of Engineering,
  •  Sarah Dickson-Anderson, Associate Dean Academic,
  •  Soren Harbel, European Coordinator,
  •  Cristian Reiter, Head of the Nuclear Physics Division at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and Associate Professor of Engineering Physics at McMaster University.

McMaster University is a strategic partner of the UGA, and this visit served to strengthen the ties between the two institutions.
